Old Sneaky here: This question has been bumping around in my brain lately so I thought that I'd throw it out and see what stuck to the wall. Given the these variables, Bullet selection (caliber and design), Barrel (length and twist), is there an optium velocity to drive the bullet to obtain optium accuracy. I understand that faster speed does not always equal better accuracy but, outsie of the "Trial & Error" method, is there any mathmaitcal manipulations to use to Predict at what velocity range you would expect optium accuracy? For example: What velocity range would you expect optium accuracy from a Lapua 6.5, 139gr Scenar out of a 24" barrel with a 1:8 twist? I'm aware that there are a lot of other variables that effect accuracy but, I'm curious about only that part of the accuracy equasion for now. I'd really like to hear ideas/opinions re: this question. THANX--SNEAKY
