open 40x to repeater

...Don't do it...there are probably 2 million BR shooters out there that would trade you a Remington 40X repeater or 700 (same difference) for your action...If you want to trade for a 700 repeater that has been trued..I can arrange it...

I just stumbeled across this old post when reasearching the possibility of converting my CMP 40x into a repeater. Are there really that many repeaters out there?. I would be interested in a trade.

I think you're talking rimfire, and he's thinking centerfire. No, there are not lots of rimfire repeater 40X's out there. I think they made around 700 total rimfire repeaters.
