Whats a good one piece rest ? Where can I find one? Price doesn't matter, and I don't mind if its custom or production.
Thanks Dustin

Leadbetter,

Keep in mind that One-Piece rests are NOT ALLOWED in Production, Sporter, LV or HV Classes. You'd be a whole lot better off, and a lot less limited, buying a good Two-Piece set up, something like one from Kenny Fulgham, or SEB, and using Edgewood Bags should do the trick. You'd probably find it works so well that you'll never miss not having the One-Piece. I have both a Fulgham Two-Piece set-up and Hall One-Piece and find I hardly ever use the Hall other than when testing pellets or setting up a gun. That's $850.00 I could have used much more wisely - like to buy another gun. Come to think of it, I think Fulgham now offers a set-up that can either be run as a One or Two Piece rest. Now, that may be something to check in to.

Just my 2¢ worth, but what do I know?

...... the what do I know part .....

Thanks for the reply's everyone, I'm looking in to the pappas rest and the fulgham.

Mr Pappas definitely does makes a fantastic rest, no doubt about that, the proof of which is in the fact that it's one of the most widely used One-Piece rests in existence. Plus, it's available at an absolutely great price too boot. But, let me tell you what drew me to Mr. Hall's rest.

What Alan did was he 1.) positioned both the windage and elevation knobs about 3" further forward than with the Pappas making them much easier to reach, at least for me with all my Arthritis, plus 2.) he reverse threaded his adjustments so everything works as you would think it should where with the Pappas you need to turn your adjustments backwards to the way you think - turn what would normally be down for up and right for left. Maybe I'm just too simple, but I like to turn the knobs the way I think. Some may argue that because of Mr. Hall's adjustments being positioned further forward, the rest will be more susceptible to vibration. I haven't found that to be the case at all. Maybe in High Power, but we're not shooting High Power, so don't worry.

I hope this helps, and again, it's just my 2¢ worth.

Fulghum

Sir,
One nice thing about the Fulghum one piece rest is all the adjustments are in the center so
you don't have to move your hand to do either adjustment and a right or left hander
can use it without swaping parts from side to side.
Another nice feature is that you can move the rear or butt end of the rest can be moved forward
or back to accommodate different length stock including a sporter.
Another nice feature is that you can change forend tops for different width stocks or get an adjustable one to take care of all of them.
Good Luck with which ever one you decide to get!
Pete
