One piece rest configuration

Does anyone make a one piece rest with a rear joy stick control? I think that would be a slick setup.

Dennis Reineke has been experimenting with that for a couple of years and it seems very good but it is tuff for an individual to get that kind of custom machine work done when you have to rely on commercial machinists.

Pappas has made a couple of his one piece rests with the farley compact rest on the front.

I can't imagine needing better adjustments than the screw type the Pappas rest has now.

Now, if I could just get laser guidance for my bullets. That would be slick!

It would not be a dig deal to put a Shade Tree Top on the rear of a one piece rest.

Rear toggle on one-piece rest

The rear joy stick control ( I call it a "mini-coaxial") that I've worked on is not the same as the front rest joy sticks. The range of movement on target is only a few inches. I still use the screws of the one-piece-rest to move from bull to bull, then use the joy-stick 'mini-coaxial' to fine tune my POA and/or adjust for minor changes in wind direction/velocity.

One eye on the flags, the other on scope, one hand on the joy stick, other finger on trigger -- when it's all together, squeeze. Some days it works well, other days, I just chase the wind.

James,

It is very good to see you are able to limp over to your computer. You have built a prefect one piece rest. We are all trying to help you make it better.

rest

its going to be pretty difficult to improve on mr. pappa s concept and final production of his rest that he must be loosing money on everyone he sells.

ive just never seen anything just like it or used anything that absolutely needs no improvement to use.

now if i could improve my shooting with the addition of his rest but that s a different story.

anyway thanks for a outstanding piece of equipment. ill just dwaddle along with it.
