I wasn't toddling then ; 20 grs 4198 and 21 grs Reloader 7 both behind a 52 or 53 grain match bullet.

Don't know about an "old load", but I've had pretty good success this season with my ancient sleeved 722 using 24.6grs of I4895 and 52gr Hillbilly bullets coated with WS2. This barrel may have as many as 10,000 rounds through it and looks like a moonscape with a borescope, but as long as I keep it clean, it shoots. BTW- you may need a drop tube to get the powder in the case.

My records show.....May/62, .222R, Win. cases,Sierra 50gr. SP, 21gr. #4198, grouped 0.400" or better in a custom BSA Martini w/Douglas Premium brl.and unique extractor system. I wish I had that gun now. A lotta chucks went down in those days.

A "case full" of H335 with a 52gr match bullet - big muzzle flash at dusk, but boy does it shoot!

Ron

The best that I remember is a case full of H4895 and a 52 gr. Remington match bullet (no longer available). James
