Here is a pic of some old ammo. Maybe some of you will remember it.

Tony,
I think I have some examples of all that, and maybe some Fiochii and RWS, PMC,Winchester Supreme match.
Is the black box Olymp-R? I had some of the Olymp-R stuff that was some of the best ammo I ever saw, in various rifles. Couldn't get any more of it though.

i've had and shot some of all of those tony except the olympr
some guy in the sales ads on here this summer put a few bricks
up for sale, by the time i saw it it already had a sold pending funds
note on it. i don't even know what he was asking for it. i still
have some of the um1 and it shoots great if it's not real windy out.

Mackey, had a unopened case of the Eley Benchret Gold for sale at the ARA Natl's this year for sale. By the time I had made up my mind to by it was gone. That ammo would shoot in anything.

Tony:
Over the past 35 years, I've shot all those and more. That Russian JR stuff was really good. It's the only ammo that the powder filled the entire case. Was that the reason it shot so well? No one knows. I found a case of Lapua Ultra Multi-Match at the Nationals as well. Over the years, the best ammo I ever shot was Winchester Mark III and Winchester Gold Match. Tenex in the organge paper box wasn't too shabby either. I won the ARA and Austrailian BR30 with Multi-Match. Shame that good stuff is gone. Of course, maybe it's just my 52D Factory barrel that's worn out.

What is one box of 50 worth, any idea? Trying to decide whether to shoot it or sell it.

I don't know what Olimp R is worth today but I recently shot a box, it shoots as good today as it did when it was new. I'm keeping mine as a secret weapon, if I get into a bind at a big match.

Tony

Biggest problem with the Olimp R is is availability. Are they still importing? Another thing to consider, is the company that manufactures the current Olimp R was only founded in the early 90's. The stuff I'm familiar with was from the 60-70's era.
