Has anyone heard of someone using nylon screws screwed into the erector tube on Weaver or Sightron scopes that let you still use the adjustments? Much like the Tucker conversion only removeable.Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Tim Baldwin

Hey Tim! Maybe Tony C. or Jackie Schmidt mill chime in. Tony C. is using this and I thought Jackie may be doing them but the tracking system in a Weaver is pretty good.---Mike Ezell

Jim Borden and Ron Hoehn are two people I know that used to provide this service.
As to "much like the Tucker conversion" with the Tucker conversion you do not crush your erector tube if you forget to loosen the screws. Several people I have known to use scopes with these screws found they caused more problems than they cured.

Ron Hoehn did one of the older Sightrons for me - not the newer Big Sky model. Ron stressed not to overtighten the nylon screws. If you want to change windage or elevation, loosen the screws, make the change, then gently retighten. This "fix" was in my budget.

I personally feel a frozen scope with Brackney or other external adjustable mounts might be a better way to go. I've also noticed some score shooters doing very well with Nightforce scopes

I realize many scopes are fine, but Mike Ratigan has a chapter titled, "Scopes: The Weakest Link." I'll take his word for it.
