I have been using Kleen Bore Nylon bore brushes which have an aluminum center. They have been discontinued by my local retailer. I prefer them when using copper Eliminator because they do not give a 'false blue' on the patch. Yes, I put the cotton patch on the brush. Is there a better product or reason to not use the nylon?

I never found them to be much more effective than a tight patch. Much less effective than a high quality bronze brush.

there are fibre brushes and cotton swabs if you want to let the chemicals do the work.

For strong copper removing chemicals cotton bore mops work very well, and are widely available. I've tried nylon brushes, but they don't seem to do the job a high quality bronze brush does.

Even if you have to order off the internet, try an Iosso brush before you give up on non-bronze brushes. You will NOT be dissapointed

An under size nylon brush and a patch spread the liquid copper eaters quite well.

Iosso markets a fairly good nylon brush for this type application. They used to have a really great nylon brush but for some reason they changes sources. Wouldn't say why.

Cabela's has'em. Take your pick: http://www.cabelas.com/catalog/sear...sh&x=20&y=13&WTz_l=Header;Search-All+Products There's 5 per package.

Cabela's has taken them off the shelf at the original Sidney NE store. So I will have to make a large on line order rather than just pcking them up as needed. Thanks to all for the input.
