NWA TRRC TRIAD OBR RESULTS
https://www.flickr.com/photos/9253708@N03/sets/72157645604623966/
We had a beautiful "Quite Warm for Washington State" day for our Fourth TRIAD of the season. The breeze brought us temperatures in the 80's and the wind flags seemed to revolt and give incorrect readings.
12 Shooters attended the 07/12/2014 TRRC TRIAD OBR Match.
As you know we use ONLY .177 caliber pellets and a maximum of 20FLB for Rifles and Pistols for all of our matches here in the PNW.
This Match is a three distance variety match, hence the title TRIAD. The course of fire is 64 Shots at 50 Feet, then 64 Shots at 25 Yards AND THEN the final target of 20 Shots is at 50 Yards. All targets are a larger single circle with a 1/16" smaller circle in the center as the "X" and scoring is Go or No Go with "X" count as a tie breaker. Shoot 100% inside the outer circle an receive 10 points. Cut the line and you get nothing!! There will be a change for next month. At the 50 foot distance only, we will change from "Clip" to "Obliterate" the small center circle for an "X". There is just too small of a space between the two circles.
This setup gives us a possibility to recognize four winners,
one at each…..50 feet/25 yards/50 yards/Match Winner.
Of course only the Match Winner get the Majic Pellet Trophy.
Tom brought the "Goodies" today for all to enjoy (Thanks).
We also had a "SURPRISE" Birthday Cake, with "Authorization for 80 LIT CANDLES", for Bob Gribble whom will be 80 next Saturday.
Speaking of Bob.........
Bob had a DNF today due to his "Loss of Concentration".
After shooting the "First Stage", he noticed his Wedding Ring was missing. Being married and losing your ring is worse than being castrated, so I've heard. And if his wife was to find out.. the effect would probably be about the same.
But Bob thought it all out ......and wondered ... was it at Marys, at Sallys, or at Luqitias place????
NO, NOT GONNA HAPPEN, because Bob is a Happily Married and Honest Man ....
AND................Guess What.....................He found his ring, at his home, in his and his wifes (Kay) bed amongst their sheets!
His Treasure was found at home! Honesty Pays! Think about it!!
James and Brycen finally took time from their motorcycle racing to come shoot with us and are moving up the ladder of experience.
Tom made his debut into the world of Airgun Bench Rest today and did very well also.
In fact, most everyones scores were better than last months.
We are very lucky to have such a great bunch of folks to shoot with!!
Todays Results were:
Match Winner - Mark Burns (1340/111x)
At 50 Feet - Mark Burns (620/61x)
At 25 Yards - Mark Burns (630/49x)
At 50 Yards - John Mickel (150/04x)
The same order as last months match!!!!!
Outdoor Scores aren't like the ones achieved Indoors but always FUN!
01. Mark Burns/TM1000 - 620/61x - 630/49x - 90/01x = 1340/111x
02. JD Dodge/EV2 - 600/52x - 540/26x - 120/01x = 1260/79x
03. John Calhoun/EV2 - 610/50x - 530/37x - 100/00x = 1240/87x
04. John Mickle/MROD - 510/36x - 450/30x - 150/04x = 1110/70x
05. Terry Cooke/TM1000 - 610/52x - 410/16x - 50/01x = 1070/69x
06. Dave Brown/EV2 - 450/31x - 460/20x - 140/00x = 1150/51x
07. Ted Miles/200S - 410/29x - 300/11x - 110/03x = 820/43x
08. Harvey Gertson/AATX200 - 380/30x - 370/16x - 50/00x = 800/46x
09. Brycen Hills/AA200T* - 150/11x - 180/14x - 10/00x = 340/25x
10. Tom Dangelo/AATX200 - 160/09x - 130/01x - 30/01x = 320/11x
11. James Hills/AAPS* - 80/07x - 90/04x - 10/00x = 180/11x
12. Bob Gribble/AAS400 - 490/42 - 0 - 0 = DNF
* I lost track between these two. There was a AA200T, a AAProSport and a RWS75 that switched back and forth between the (father James and Son Brycen) Team. Although they both did well ringing the chimes at 65 yards playing, their concentration was NOT on the closer targets for score during the match!!
Sue used her KODAK and took all of the pictures today and did an excellent job. We definitely have a great photographer in the group.
PLUS, she is "In Training" to become a shooter, as well.
Afterwards Bob Gribble, John Mickle, Harvey Gertson, Terry Cooke, Dave and Carole Brown, Ted Miles, Susan (my Sweetie) and I adjourned to the local Red Robin Restaurant. Best Iced Tea in town......................
There is NEVER a Bad Day Shooting!!!
