Well, the sky was blue with light clouds and the Sun Was Shinning!!
That is……….when we left the house……………..
We got everything set up with 9 shooters (all PCP’s) and the brownies Sue made went quick (the only added item was nuts…………HONEST!!)
After sight-In was accomplished at the first distance of 50 feet, we then posted the targets for score.
Then the dark clouds came and the “Washington Liquid Sunshine” appeared……the Bottom Fell Out!
With us being “Hearty Souls” I made the decision to “Just shoot around the Rain Drops”…………
So, that’s what we did and before that target was finished…………Clear skies returned for the remainder of the day, although it was STILL quite chilly!
Quite surprising was the winds were not really bad today. Of course, the rain wall kept the wind from coming through. Still what winds we did have required some deciphering to put the pellet where we wanted it to go.
Don Scott made his debut to “Outdoor” Bench Rest with a new, yet un-completely ZEROed CZ200. He did very well. Trigger time is all that’s needed now.
The battle for the podium was tight between Mark Burns and Tim Wilson with Mark winning the 50 Foot and 25 Yard distances and the Match with a 1350/48X. Mark “Almost” shot a “Perfect” score at the 50 foot target shooting a 630 out of 640. I need to make sure his targets aren’t being “Pre-Punched”…
Tim won the 50 Yard distance and came in second with a 1290/56X. Bob Gribble being very consistent came in third with a 1080/30X.
Maximum possible score was 1480/148X.
Kay (Bobs Sweetie) had scope problems on her CZ200S and had a DNF on her last two targets.
The only other DNF was John at the 50 Yard distance………….The pellets he had would not co-operate and hit the score area. Must have been a “Bad Batch” of pellets.
Dave Brown and his sweetie, Carole, came to supervise today and took the pictures, THX!
Overall, it was another great day of Airgunning here in the Pacific North West.
