The 2013 Outdoor Season has officially begun by holding the first Bench Rest-Pistol Match
at the newly remodeled TRRC AIRGUN Range.
The temperature was 50% with forcast of 80% Rain and winds SE @ 14MPH scheduled.
BUT.............six hearty souls ventured out after JD put out the "FINAL WORD".....RAIN or SHINE!!!!!!!!!!
The rain pretty much stopped until the match was over so there was no need for any concern about
the weather at all.
Ted Miles, drove from Eatonville to spectate and he will possibly join in our games of Bench Rest-Rifle
and Field Target in the upcomming weeks. Not having the full day available he observed through Johns
Spotting Scope and gave Dave inside word on his strikes. AND IT WORKED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yea. Dave and his AA PCP Alfa Comp flat kicked us all out in the street like "Red Headed Step Children"!!!.
It was like we were not even on the same plateau as he was. When You're Hot!, You're Hot!!!
Harvey and his IZZY 46M came in a "distant" second 91 points further down the pole.
And yet another 66 points lower JD and his AA CO2 Alfa Sport showed up at barely visible in the grass.
John and his IZZY 46M was just a few shots lower and closer to the roots.
Terry Cooke came by and took some pictures and volunteered to score for us. Thanks, Terry!!
Scores were:
Dave Brown - 241/05X-235/06X-242/09X-238/7X=956/27X
Harvey Gertsen - 223/02X-209/01X-214/00X-220/00X=866/03X
"JD" Dodge - 197/00X-189/00X-216/02X-198/01X=800/03X
John Calhoun - 194/02X-197/01X-208/00X-182/00X=781/03X
Ted left to pick up his wife "Generating Inflation" at the Mall, John headed for TSC to find someone
to beat and Dave, Harvey, Terry and I went to Red Robin for vittles.
What a great day for Airgunning here in the Pacific North West!

Now, buy the pictures I'd say you guys, ah gentlemen, had a lot of fun. What yardage were those targets shot at? Looks like 25, but not sure. Anyway, congrats to all and I only wish there weren't 3M+ miles between here and there or I'd be joining you. You may have started something.

Dave-
You would be welcome for sure!!!
We shoot at 50 feet and 99% of the pistols are @ 3-4FLB and some shooters use wadcutters and some use whatever shoots the best for them.
There have been Springer, PCP, CO2, Single Pump and even Multi-Pump pistols in play.
Of course you must be scoped because I don't think even youngsters could see the bull with the naked eye.
Check out the NWA-BR.com web site for previous shoots and the other fun things we do over here on the West side.
