Another Great Day of Airgunning was attended by eight shooters and lots of "Pellet Talk" took place at the TRIAD Bench Rest - Rifle Match on Saturday, the 13th of July.
The wind was calm with bright skies for sight-In and the temperature was a beautiful 76 degrees. The Usual Early Conditions.
Then once we started the 50 foot distance "Scored Part" of the match the wind was 2.7MPH and once we got through the 25 yard distance and started the 50 yard the winds were @ 8MPH. Harvey had his new "Weather Station" (see pic) to provide us with the skinny on the conditions. Next Month he is supposed to provide us with Minute to Minute Barometric Pressure with a Special Chart.
The chart will tell us what weight pellet to use for best efficiency as the pressure changes and the air becomes more or less dense.
Harvey provides us with all of the modern technology although he still shoots a springer that he has had since he was three years old. But...............he wins with it, so that's all that counts.
The new targets with the "GO-NO GO" System has made a big hit. Simple to shoot AND REALLY Simple to Score. Typically it takes @ 30 minutes for two scorers to mark all 24 targets!!
Dave had almost a perfect target going and "All of a Sudden" the air reservoir dumped on his EV2. He had just "Topped Off" before he start and it was a real surprise. After a quick fill and two or three shots.......................it dumped again!!!! He grabbed his "Backup", the CZ200, and finished the Match thoroughly de-moralized. Daves "Sweetie" Carole stopped by and did her best to cheer him up.
This is the third case with the same scenario.
First was Ron Prices ALFA 2 two years ago during a Bench Rest - Pistol Match at his place and number two was MY ALFA during a Match this year and now Daves EV2. All the very same story!!!!
They are machines, so that is something we just have to consider. Jes gotta "Grin and Bear It"!!
Back to the TRIAD.....................................
The TM1000s are successfully "Taking Over" with Mark as the Match Winner and Terry as First PCP Winner!!!
As mentioned before Harvey took First Springer position with no peers to share in his glory. I know there is supposed to be "At Least" Two shooters per class..................but...............we got the game book to modify as we see fit, Right???!!!!!
Here are the Results:
Mark Burns - TM1000 - 50'=630/27X(1ST) - 25Y=550/06X(1ST) - 50Y=80/00X = 1260/33 - MW
