Shooters,
The February 23, 2013 match had a small turnout with ten air gunners.
This was the fifth of six matches of this Fall/Winter Indoor Benchrest season at CCRP.
The temperature indoor stated at 40-1/2 degrees and went up to 41 degrees.
No one started a fire, since the regular fire starters were missing.
The temperature made it Cold on the fingers, etc.
I think outside got warmer then inside at the day went along.
The Golden Cuspidor sat on JD Dodge’s bench during this match since he was the
January 2013 winner with a 998 – 68x.
Overall scores were incredible. Great shooting by everyone.
There were 6 shooters out of 8 with scores of 990 or better.
Seven targets with 250 out of 250.
The Match Winner was Mark Burns who shot a perfect 1,000 with an “x” count of 79.
Superb shooting. Mark’s score ties JD’s 1,000 from March 2010.
Mark’s “x” count sets a new record passing the previous record of 75 held by JD.
We now have two shooters that have shot 1,000 out of 1,000. Outstanding!
First PlacePCP went to JD with a score of 997-65x.
Second PCP went to Gerry Smith who shot a 991-65x and Bill Quick took Third Place PCP
with a 990-50x.
Jim Benson took 1st Place Springer with a fantastic score of 998-69x.
Jim’s score ties the best Springer score set at the December 2012 match by Harvey Gertson. Jim had a 250-16x on the 1st target and a 250-18x on the 4th target. This beats Jim’s previous best Springer score of 990 set in March 2010.
Second Place Springer went to Harvey Gertson with a score of 993-64x.
Shooters Equipment:
Mark Burns used an Anschutz 8002, Qiang Yuan 8.2 gr. Wad Cutter pellets at 550 fps.
JD shot an AA EV2 MK III and AA 8.4 gr. pellets.
Gerry Smith shot an Anschutz 2002 with Qiang Yuan 8.2 gr. WC pellets.
Bill Quick used a FWB P 70 with JSB S-100 pellets at 580 fps.
Jim Benson shot a FWB 300S using JSB Match pellets at 526 fps. Harvey Gertson shot a FWB 300 Tyrolean with Qiang Yuan 8.2 gr. WC pellets at 571 fps.
Mark Burns will be the holder of the Golden Cuspidor at the March 16, 2013 (third Saturday) Match.
