A "top Ten" predictions for year 2010 could be fun. First,Nosterpodamus predicts that 2010 will produce the first ever 250-25x in a santioned IR50/50 or RBA match. Second, it is predicted that the gunsmith making the rifle will get more attention than the shooter! Please consult your own Physic(sp) and complete a top ten prediction list. Bob
 
I Pedict

The price of a case of ammo will cost more than the rifle prompting shooters to by rifles by the dozen in order to find one that shoots the ammo they have. I predict that Eley will spend thousands of dollars ..err Pounds in research to re-invent an ammo box that doesn't suck, however the cost of the new box would raise the cost of the product by 200 percent so won't be implemented until the retail price of one box of 50 rounds hits $127.50 sometime in 2011.

I predict

Eley doesn't even come close to making a box, for ammo, that doesn't suck in 2010 or 2011. It is beyond their capability or desire.

I also predict clumsy people like me will continue to spill the last half of the box when trying to finish a target quickly. (you know the bullet pulls the top plate out with the remaining rounds, and the whole thing spills) .

Of course this could be prevented by dumping the entire box before the match starts, but I'm just too cheap.
 
prediction for jan 2010, midway will send their flyer out and rws will be priced at $18.99 a box. what! just recieved midway flyer rws $18.99 for rws 50 and 100.:eek:
 
I predict the 2nd 2500 PSL target will be shot with a Remington 37 and then everyone will want one. I'm glad I've already cornered the market. Happy New Year all. May 2010 be among your best years ever. bob finger

I still have an 18 pound 37 UL rifle and a 7 pound 37 sporter. You have left a few out here.

I too hope you are wrong, don't want it to go the way of Traditional Muzzle loading.
 
i predict that Stump will come back to BRC..oh gosh i hope so:D

and half of the cmp 40xs being released will be seen in classifieds for $900..
i hope not
 
my next prediction is gambler was able to make his prediction by going to gunbroker.com and seeing the cmp rifle being sold by the seller from kentucky.:D

i didn't go to gunbroker, i was around to see it the last time cmp sold them;)
 
I predict that in the Spring of 2010, a NEW (old) BR shooter from Indiana, shooting a rifle built by one of the 'Bills" will emerge on the ARA scene; surprise the masses with top-five scores (and a win or two); shoot more than one 2450; ........and by late August the ARA pack will be saying,


"He could...go........all.....the......way."

Facts

Yesterday I bought a case of Lapua Polar Biathlon and got this years' price.
50(box) Lapua Polar Biathlon cost $19.66. The going price for 50(box) Lapua X-act is $34,44, and I understand why sales are low on this cartridge. I also needed some 6,5x55 Lapua and will try a new 920m/s with 8 grams bullet. Intro price is $ 1,08 a cartridge.
Norway is a nice place to live, but prices can kill ya... Happy new year to all of You.

2010 predickions !!

:mad:the answer to this high cost of rimfire ammo , just switch to shooting airgun benchrest...when I started shooting .22 it was a cent a shot. so if everyone start to shoot air the cost of RF will go down..just a thought.H.B.

OR, the cost of air rifles and pellets will go UP..........:D:D
