Evening folks,
We held our 4th IR50/50 match of the year this Saturday, and while still dealing with light turnout do to Covid 19 issues and people reluctant to travel we did have 11 shooters come out and battle the winds (and heat) of the Ione Triangle.

We shot two 3-card matches, the first being a UNL SOTY/List match.
Card 1 started out with a mild, switchy headwind mostly trending from the left and was won by Pierre Bigras with a 249-17x, just edging out Dan Lutke’s 249-13x
Francis Lee 3rd with a 247-12x.
Card 2 was a battle between Dan and Henry Pinkney both shooting 249’s with Dan taking 1st place 14x’s to 6. 3rd was Pierre with a 248-8x.
Card 3 had the wind picking up and the scores were starting to reflect it.
!st & 2nd were both 247 12x’s with Dan taking the tiebreaker over Greg 6 FM to 3 FM. 3rd was Henry’s 245-11x.

The 3 card UNL-SOTY/List Agg results for Match 1 were as follows:
1st: Dan Lutke 745-39x
2nd: Pierre Bigras 742-33x
3rd: Greg Wilson 740-33x

The 2nd match was also a 3 card UNL SOTY/List match and with the weather heating up and expecting to hit 109 in the afternoon we rolled right into Match 2 before I was even done scoring the Match 1. Thank God the stat shed has A/C (one of my better ideas!)

There was still a pretty switchy headwind that would lull you into thinking you had it figured out and just pounding the X ring and then one flag would flip and if you weren’t quick that’s a 9 baby! (Sometimes an 8!)

Card 1 was taken by Pierre Bigras just edging out Francis on X count 246-13x to 11x, Greg taking 3rd with a 245-10x.
Card 2 was won by Henry with a very nice for the conditions 249-10x, Greg was 2nd with a 248-13x, Dan 3rd with a 245-8x
Things really started heating up for Card 3, 103 on the thermometer , switchy headwind getting worse, and only 1 point separating the leaders.
Card 3 was grabbed by Greg’s 248-12x, Tom Price 2nd with a 247-14x, (finally turned that tuner the right way Tom?), and Henry 3rd with a 246-14x.

The 3 card UNL SOTY/List Agg Match 2 results were as follows:
1st: Greg Wilson 741-35x
2nd: Henry Pinkney 740-31x
3rd: Dan Lutke 733-32x

We combine both 3 card Aggs for the 6 Card Club Aggregate aka The Money Match.
6 card results:
1st: Greg Wilson 1481-68x
2nd: Henry Pinkney 1480-58x
3rd: Dan Lutke 1478-71x (High x-count for the match)

I would like to thank all the shooters who came out to join us, hopefully everyone enjoyed themselves.
A special thanks to Greg & Steve for redoing all the target frames, everyone seemed to approve of the new design.
Also want to thank Dan for being Match Director and putting these matches on anyone who has done it knows what a tough and often thankless job it is.

Hope to see everyone (and maybe a few more) at our next match Sept 19th.
Regards,
Greg
