Hey guys would someone mind telling me the difference Nxs and benchrest models I see they have the same power.

one difference is the nxs has 1/4 " click adjustments while the benchrest has 1/8 " clicks. the nxs is supposed to be slightly more rugged. the benchrest has an adjustable objective lense while the nxs is side focus.

If I understood the fellas at US Optics who explained to me the difference between an adjustable objective and a side adjustable paralax it is, the side focus has two lenses vs. the objective adjustable which has one. One lens vs. two, BR vs. NXS. The point is, with two pieces of glass you have a greater chance that one of these two pieces will be imperfect. My BR's do seem to be a little clearer then my NXS's, sometimes!
I hope that helps

another difference is in the eyepiece. the nxs is a screw the entire eyepiece in or out and set the lockring. the benchrest has a quick focus eyepiece without the lockring.

The Benchrest model also weighs more than the NXS model. If your into longrange shooting Nightforce also supports the shooters who use there products while other companies don't.I try and support the companies that support the shooters using there products.

I would hope that one day, Nightforce will make a scope usable for
benchrest. We don't need 50-56mm objectives and light up lenses.
We don't need variable power, just 36-40. All the bells and whistles
just add weight.

Hey guys have you all ever heard of choate stocks and what level of quality are they? They sure have nice prices.

Hello in canal town.
Turning cases all winter in hopes of strenghtening my wrists
to hit golf balls. I have a feeling you won't loose your $100. Those
little suckers are harder to hit than the mothball.

I have a set of Tiger Woods signed golf clubs, will they go up in value
or down. You have to be kidding me

I've got one of his clubs....It was used once by his wife ...It's even signed . Will be taking bids in the near future!:D

As long as the manufacturer continues to use steel tubes I have no use for them, who else sees the need for a steel tube? It adds weight without a bit of strength, why?

Choate are injection molded, not made from laid up fiber glass or Kevlar in epoxy with a foam core. So they are heavy, flexible, and glass bedding won't stick to them. They are in the $50 - $100 class of injection molded stocks, not the $200- $400 epoxy stock class.
Choate generally means to me "take off and throw away"

But then there are the Choate Ultimate Sniper stocks that are very heavy before the Lead gets put in the pistol grip. The one for Rem700 has a V block to grip the receiver. I got one of these at a gun show, put a Krieger 6mmBR barrel on it, and it is a keeper. Now I need a gun bearer.

Allot heavier than you think.
