Nightforce Question

I own a 8-32X NXS Nightforce scope and really like it. A little heavy but great optics. I know Nightforce is the brand name owned by Lightforce in Australia. Lightforce's website hints that their products are made in Australia, but my Nightforce has a "made in Japan" sticker on it. I've also heard that Nightforce has an American plant somewhere out west. Who really makes Nightforce?

Nightforce

Somewhere around Stites Idaho. My brother who lives in Stites has a neighbor that works in their local plant.

I have a Nightforce 12-42X56 BR. I just tried it for the first time at
the range Saturday. Great glass! Crispy clear at 100yds and 200yds.
The reason I got it is because just about 80% of the F class guys in our
range/club use them and swear by the ruggedness, maintaining POA, reticle
being etched [they do not shift] and the best warranty work around.
I was told they are Japanese optics, parts and assembled here in the USA. ;)

I can attest to thier ruggedness. My F/Tr rig was run over by a minivan at a match last year. The front wheel went over the front ring, breaking the sinclair f pod, driving th ewhole rig into the mud. I happened to have a spare set of rings, so I remounted the scope, threw on the spare bipod, and went on to win the match. I hope to never experience that feeling again, but I have no doubts as to the scope's ability to take some punishment!
