Reticle choices are largely a matter of personal preference, but I really like the NP2 DD on my 12-42 NXS. I like the uncluttered field of view, and to my eyes, a dot seems like a more precise point of aim than converging crosshairs.
Great choice for F-class, and a good all-around reticle.
I have three of them... tried going smaller (CH-3) but found my eyes couldn't reliably see any smaller dots under less than ideal (i.e. regular) conditions.
Thank You Gentlemen,
I have used one this past month and am getting used to the NON cross hairs! Yup, think the view is fine,am getting some decent scores (slowly) Is there any recommended technique or is it subjective?
TIA
Axx
Actually, its a great scope. Shot it in a hurry the first time around, hi magnification, unfocussed ocular... went back to it, bad mirage day, learnt all about the scope and managed a decent 34mm group at 300m. Thanks Guys
I have 3 of the 12-42x56 BR scopes with the NP2-DD Reticle and I would not trade them for any other......EVER.
I shoot F-Open out to 900m (1000yds) and they do everything I need them to do. Positive and repeatable adjustment, Small dot to be able to "place" it anywhere on the target I need it.
Some don't like the fact that the adjusments are stiff but if you have a proper plotting sheet the stiff adjustments should not matter as you can figure out adjusment from plots or wind flags.
