NF scope ring reccomendations.

I returned my Leupy 45 x competition and decided to buy a NF 8x32 BR instead. I want to order the rings when i order the scope. Any help with the ring height would be helpful.

The rifle: FN SPR, 308. Pre 64 Winchester action.
The rifle come with a DPS 20 MOA picatinny rail installed.

If you are going to be using a bull barrel, then get the 1.125" rings from NF. That is measured from the top of the base to the center of the rings. If you plan on using a slimmer barrel, then you can get away with the 1". I use both on my NF scopes.

weight issue

I took delivery of my Nightforce BR scope and rings yesterday. The NF rings are excellent and for my gun the extra weight is OK. (auto accident injury has me shooting heavy gun and light recoil) They are designed to be rock-solid with a 50 BMG. That translates into heavy-weight. Seems like a mismatch for a 308 on a Winchester action.
