Is there any detriment tin using a 3 position butplate on the stock of a light gun benchrest rifle?

Reason I am asking is that I am doing a build and thinking of using a Master Class 1000 benchrest stock but equiping it with a 3 way butplate for use in F-Class shooting.
 
just the wieght issue...lite gun is 17 lbs...what is f class limit ?

22lbs so a light gun will have no trouble coming in, I was thinking more about the butplate affecting recoil and balance.
 
build it so that with the adjustable parts REMOVED the gun wieghs 17 lbs...shoot with the butt installed for f class and removed for 1000yd br...yes ????
check loads with each rifle weight....
maybe ??
