I have acquired an unusual pistol, very much like a bench rest rifle, but with a diminutive "7 Champ" cartridge, a 7BR shortened from roughly 1.52 to 1.32, I posted it for posterity as a curio cartridge at:

It is a three lug Wichita, has a 15" barrel, and I'm building it for about a 24X or 36X scope for IHMSA competition, a current hot setup. The best of these pistols will shoot under .2 at 100m. Picture of one of my friend's 6BR and a .22LR, sorry about the low quality, but you can see the layout.
After I shoot up the -very used up- brass I will re-chamber to 7 B.R. to get to fresh rifling.
I have outside turned necks before, so I will optimize neck thickness that way. This barrel is too old to justify buying a special reamer, so it will be std. chamber. I wish to keep sizing to a minimum, and I used to leave a minimal step-shoulder to align the bullet behind bore center-line.
I want to do that again, so that leaves sizer bushing size, and actual thickness of the neck.
Are there any general guidelines for such goals? I could be heading toward an entry into BR shooting, this info might be transferable to a 7 BR rifle for your sport.
Thanks in advance for helping a newb, if you can; hope these are not too dumb as questions go.
