Hello,
I just joined the site and wanted to say Hi.
I've been a lurker here for awhile and read alot of good info about long range shooting.

I recently purchased a Savage 12F/TR in 308 and have been having a ball with it. I own and have owned heavy barreled 700's in 223, 22-250 and 25-06. This Savage out shoots them all.

I have a few questions about posting here and want to post on the right threads.

Questions about various brands of bullets?

Where in the NH, VT, MA area are there shoots? I'm comfrotable trying 600yds as my range goes to 500.

Posting pics of equipment, and targets should be done where.

Here's 3 100 yd.groups from my 1st outing with the rifle.

Bullets and powders are listed on the tagets.

Norma brass with no case prep. I just made sure the mouths were round, charged with powder and seated bullets. The Primers were WLR.

It's odd, but after neck sizing those cases them trimming and chamfering the groups stayed pretty much the same.

Another thing that was odd is my 200yd groups more than doubled in size but 300 was nearly the same as 200.

I've read here that the 168 grn weight is not as popular as the 175's and 155's. Sierra's are all I've loaded to this point.

I have some 155 and 167 gr. Lapua's to try next.

I've also attached some pics of my range. the target boards are 200, 300 and 500. that day I was shooting at 500 with the two "other" rifles in the pics. Black powder and 560Gr cast lead.
