at the monthly military bolt action benchrest match the range record for small group was broken. the existing record of 1.638 shot with a swede 6.5x55 was broken with a 30-40 krag! the new record is 1.611.
so for those of you laughing at the size. these are ten shot groups shot at 100 yards. mil stocks with no bedding, no after market stocks, and stock triggers( may be reworked). hand loads allowed, bench equiptment allowed.
as issued iron sights!( front sight maybe raised to get a 100 yd zero).
