Has any one used the new lightweight aluminum rest from Sinclair?
I'm in the market for a new rest for informal shooting and load development. I don't want to have to mortgage the house and sell the first born, so something around a $150.00 is appealing.
Right now I am leaning towards either the Sinclair or Hart's basic rest. I like the tops offered by Sinclair better than the one that comes on the one by Hart.
My only concern is the weight. The Sinclair is advertised at 6 pounds with sand bag. I have weighed a Hart that belongs to a buddy of mine and it comes in around 11 pounds.
Right now I am using the rest made by Protektor. It is in the same weight class as the Sinclair, but has a much smaller footprint and is not as stable as I would like.
I was hoping some one would have some real world input on this rest and is willing to share it.
Thanks in advance,
