New guy, Looking forward to seeing what I can learn here, right now I just have a Savage Mkll with bull barrel, looking to order a new stock for it and my glass is a Mueller Eraticator 8.5x25x50.
 
Well most info on this site tends to be aimed at match shooting with custom equipment, but you really didn't say what you're looking to do.
 
Hello Tim, I eventually want to try competition, I'm 53 and looking mostly for 22lr competition
 
Well, it's pretty much the end of the outdoor season but depending where you are, go to this home page and enter the rimfire sites like ARA and IR50/50 and see if there are matches near you. You're going to learn lots more going to a couple matches, talking to guys, looking at equipment. I would be surprised of you're not met with a couple offers to shoot a real BR gun. Generally guys are very receptive to new shooters looking for help.
