New Record Down Under

Bill Collaros

Shoot to Thrill
Congratulations to Peter Armstrong on a new National Record Down here. In a match called Hunter Rimfire you basically shoot 5 x 5 targets @ 7 minutes each target to get a maximum 250 @ 50 meters, you then do the same @ 100meters. Peter got a new record with 500 over the dual range, look out for his good form in the upcoming World Postal down here in 2 weeks.

Great Shooting Peter! ~:D

If you keep this up it might make some US shooters wish you did not shoot in this years World Postal.~

Doug,
The way that Lapua X-Act shoots at 100 if the postal was a 50 & 100 match then they’d have a bit to worry about. But seeing the postal is only a 50m match I don’t think US shooters need to worry about me.

Bill is the one you need to look out for, his Feinwerkebau is one sweet factory rifle.

Peter

Strong

Good shootin my friend. Hope maybe to see you guys soon. David K

I've tried rimfire BR a few times at 100m and find it very hard to do.What's the size of the target you use?
I will change to another club next year and they only have a 100m range.I'm trying to be allowed to put a card at 50m but chances are slim.

From Calfee

Friend Bill: Received the Calfee Sporter Profile Broughton barrel today for the Aussie National Team....barrel looks great, have already slugged it and determined the length of the enlarged front end and the depth of the counterbore to the crown, and its diameter, but, I would like to know what action you intend to use......Tim North does an extremely faithful reproduction of my sporter profile. Your friend, Bill Calfee

Gday Bill, We are using a Feinwerkbau 2700 single shot action. Brett Wilson will be sending some info & questions shortly via email. Once "Crocodile Dundee" is built i will post a photo & hopefully some good results. It will be driven by Aussies but have plenty of US imput, with yourself, Tim North & Don Stith involved.

Many thanks again. Bill Collaros
