Welcome to Todd Banks rangemaster for the Salem Pistol and Rifle Club,

Todd will be shooting on Tuesday nights and has 16 benches. His first match is June 3rd.

Welcome Salem R & P to AGBR

Todd,
Welcome to AGBR. I will try to make at least one of your shoots this year. I will have to plan something as a 460 mile round trip for a week night is a lot. Don't be surprised if a Airgunner with no wind flags and a $10.00 car jack shows up and cleans house!!!
Kathy is planing your wedding in 6 weeks and your starting a new project.
I don't know if giving her a gun for a wedding present is a good idea!

Todd,

Once again, my apologizes to Kathy! Man oh man, I sure hope she's still willing to acknowledge my existence next time I see you guys.

Moving beyond that: welcome aboard! I would like to say that I'll be stopping by at one or two of your matches, but, as Paul said, the ±400 miles would be a killer on my knees, so it's less than likely you'll be seeing me at any of this years matches.

Good luck, and I hope to see you at Pinnacle on the 31st.

Dave

Thanks Guys,
We'll see what kind of interest we get this year, and if it takes off, maybe we'll do some weekend AGBR matches next year. I talked to Dan Gibeault today, and he was seriously considering buying a PCP gun, and I think one of our other guys is going to buy my extra Walther, so we'll have at least 3 shooters to start.

This isn't really a new project for me. The range is there, and we shoot IR50/50 and RBA UL every other Tue. We meet to practice on the off Tues. anyway, so why not shoot something for score? We'll have 16 benches within a few weeks(12 now, forming slabs for 4 more tomorrow night), so if some of the guys want to practice RF at one end while we shoot AG on the other, everybody's happy.

Looking forward to this new game,
Todd

Todd,

Not trying to throw a fly into the ointment here, but, before making any promises about having anyone other than those competing in the Air Gun Bench Rest match using any of the unused benches, for any reason, you should probably refer to the rule I have C & P below:

D. Empty Benches
No one will occupy any unused bench at a match for any reason.

Remember, I'm just trying to help you out Todd.

Dave

Yep, I missed that one, Dave. Guess they'll have to practice while we're scoring.

Paul,
I've been stocking my camper up for the long weekend, and got to thinking about you and your long ride over here. Any time you want to come over and shoot, you're welcome to stay in our "spare room in the driveway". It's got all the amenities of home, just smaller.
Todd

There's a way around the unoccupied bench rule...simply assign a certain number of benches for airgun only for the match, ie. benches 1 to 5 out of the 16 available.

Gary

Thanks Gary,
That's pretty much what I was planning on doing. The range is going to be 80' long and we should have plenty of room for 4 or 5 guys to enjoy it:)

Todd,
Thanks for the offer of your B&B. I do have relatives in North Adams and Cheshire that I can stay at which is an hour away if needed.
Enjoy your camping trip. There is a slim chance I might make your shoot on Sunday as my kids are having a party this weekend at their camp in Albany, VT. I will check on a map how far that is.
Bad Brad is a proud father of a baby girl.
