Sorry for being so late in reporting this confirmed record. Somehow got placed on the bottom of a stack of stuff on my desk.

Hats off to John Carter for shooting an excellent target on 05/03/08 at the Open Grove Club in CA

Not only did John win the match with a 742-18X but shot a 3rd target high score of 250-8X

Great shooting in the Unlimited class.

John was shooting a Theoben rifle with JSB pellets smithed by POA

Congratulations John, you shot great all night. I know there will be many more 250's and with higher x counts from you. Keep up the great shooting.

What caliber are you shooting? Also is it Regulated? I hope to shoot a 250 sometime. I can't even come close to your scores shooting indoors.

I am shooting Joes Theoben rapid .20. I Have one on order I hope it shoots as good as Joes. I really like this game I just seem to have found my game.
 
Wow! That is an incredible score. Said it once, say again - The top airgun shooters are going to eventually move out to 50 yards. And at this rate, it aint gonna take long.

Say John, if you don't mind, could you tell us what stock you are using? And could you give some information on your gunsmith?

Great shooting! I also have a .20 Rapid on order (from the same place you do, I think). I hope I can shoot it as well as you're doing!

The rapid is a stock gun sold by pomona air gun. the only mod that was done was to add a lenght of aluminium channel to the forend so it will clamp into a fudd rest top. Its really an ausome shooting airgun.
I think a lot more 250's are going to shot as everyone figures out these airguns, John
 
Just to clarify one thing, Steve does tune the rifles and uses one of his Shrouds that is shorter and different than AZ's. The rifle as you can see by John's scores flat out shoots and John is doing an awesome job behind the trigger.
