New Hornady Match dies...

Hi all

I sold all my rifles and equipment and immigrated to the UK in April. Have made contact with a few guys in the UK, and will start shooting again soon. Am busy sourcing all new equipment, etc, etc. Having learnt from previous mistakes I have a fair idea what to buy and what not, but I see a few new products on the market. Can anyone give me some feedback on Hornady's new 6PPC full length bushing die?? Also any sicnificant differences between the RFD, Harrels, Neil Jones culver measures?? I used a JLC full length bump die before, with a small base redding die for the base of the case, and a Wilson seater, with a Neil Jones Culver. I am trying to buy most of my equipment from one or 2 suppliers, to cut out on shipping expenses.

Thanks

Hi there Big man,

Looking forward to shooting with you in the UK - we have a benchrest website at www.ukbra.co.uk which will tell you all you need to know about benchrest in the UK.

If you can find your way to Diggle Range, we shoot 100, 600 and 1000 yd BR.

Regarding the 6PPC Hornady die - I use one - no probs. Good value. Bought it in the UK.

Cheers
Vince (UK)

I have 2 of them in 6ppc. It is a nicely machined die and works very
well. It has an air bleed hole in the shoulder which is completely unneeded
in a bushing die. the bleed hole leaves a small circle scar on the shoulder
with either die that I have. I have seen it on cases that other people have.
Polishing it away is not a big problem, but why do I have to. Hornady
should know this.
