Today at Williamsport, Ken Brucklacher, President of the PA 1000 Yard club, shot a 3.137" 100 8X for a new Heavy Gun World Record for Score.

Awesome Shooting Ken! Congratulations! I'd say show us an agg but I guess you already did that!

Ken was shooting.... A HEAVY Gun!, chambered in... uuuhhh, 30 Cal. I don't know, I think it was another of those damn belted things! The bullets used were, uhhh, 30 cal bullets. Powder was... Gunpowder! Only kind he uses.

It should also be noted that Kens last three targets of last season, with this gun, were 2 100's and a 99, and he shot a 98.33 6 Match score agg with it.

How can a larger group be called a world record? I think a week or 2 ago Joel Pendergraft shot a 3.048" in heavy gun. It may be a Penn. record, but not a world record.

It is a SCORE record, not group. I think the previous SCORE record was 3.191" group with a 100 score.
I would also guess that this is a new PA Club GROUP record but that is for the PA people to post, if true.
This is all speculation on my part.

Awesome, must be something in the air this year. I wish mine could have been in the center like that. Congratulations Ken. Looks like the big 30's can still hold their own in heavy gun 1000 yd competition.

As I remember, we've been waiting just as long to set a new score WORLD record as we waited for the new group record.

Ken now hold two World Record Heavy in heavy gun.
Last year he shot the 6 match heavy gun score agg. with a 98.333. In doing this, the last three matches he scored 299 out of a possible 300. I don't think anyone comes close shooting scores like that - three in a row!
John Voneida shot 3.151" group with a score of 100-5X.
I you consider it, he has shot 399 out of 400 in the last four matches!
Unbleavable.
