Once again I ask; how can a state that is in a different part of the country altogether host what they want to call a "Regional" match when, in fact, they are making up that region to begin with? According to the 2008 IR 50/50 RULEBOOK NEW YORK IS listed as being a part of the Northeast Region, and therefore can host a NORTHEST REGIONAL match, but there is no way they are a part of New England under any sense of the definition.
The WORLD BOOK ENCYCLOPDIA defines the 6 states make up New England as being:
Regions of the United States
New England
Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Vermont, and if yours ain't listed, you ain't from New England! Please note that New York is not there, but instead part of the Middle Atlantic Region!
Middle Atlantic States
New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania
