Looking at a Nesika actioned bench rest rifle, on the left side of the receiver is the word Nesika, below it is the word Bay, followed by a two digit number. Is this the serial number, or does it appear elsewhere on the action? Fred in Lakewood, CO

serial number will start with model, eg: J457, or K123, depending on model (for PPC rifle I assume it will be Nesika J action)

Hope that helps!

Cheers

Left side of my receiver says "Model J". Right side of receiver says "Nesika" (not Bay) with serial number under it.

It could be that you have one of the first Nesika actions. My right bolt right port J has Nesika on the left side of the receiver and J00** on the right side of the receiver ring. Poulsbo, WA is underneath the serial number. What diameter is your bolt body? If it's quite a bit under .700 then you probably have one of the early Nesika's and serial number is probably the two digit number. I believe the first Nesika's had a 5/8" diameter bolt body. They later went to the Remington sized bolt bodies as you had to have special bore guides and action wrenches to fit the smaller Nesika's.
