I am wanting to improve my trigger on my CZ452. Purchased an rifle basix trigger from Brownells and installed it along with a new sear from CZ USA. Even after the new parts im still not happy with what I have. I shoot my friends Sako Quad rifle and the trigger is "light years better" than mine. what can i do or buy to fix my problem.

thanks, Slug-O

Is your friends Quad using a Jewell trigger or the factory trigger that might have been worked on. There are a few guys working on those Quad triggers tp lighten them but the Jewell trigger gets it down to a true Benchrest level.

As for the CZ there's a trigger kit called the YoDave that you may or may not know about. It definitely helps but once you shoot something like a Jewell you'll always want one. Maybe there's a Quad in your future...

The weakest point on my CZ 452 was the trigger. Wonders can be done with your trigger by someone who knows how. Check with others in your area for someone who can work on yours. I would not advise you to try it your self because I do not know your skill level. Gunsmiths who are skilled are worth their price. I will say that i did wonders just polishing the seers.

Jewell.... Yes that's what it was called.. I'm seeing an gunsmith tomorrow. Thanks.Slug-O

Timney

First let me say I don't know anything about it or if it will accomplish what you are looking for but there is a Timney over on rimfire central.
Good Luck!

If you shot the Jewell I had the exact same experience when I had been shooting a CZ several years ago. The difference was so dramatic that I bought a benchrest rifle with a Jewell within a few weeks. Your gunsmith can help your CZ trigger with something like the Basix or YoDave but it just won't get down to where your friends Quad is.

Just get Me half way there and I'll be happy... Thanks for the YoDave info...

Quick question does Jewell make a trigger for the cz 452

My understanding is that would be no. I believe Timney makes a trigger that works with a CZ.

I'd go over to the CZ forum on Rimfire Central and ask your question. You'll get good answers there that you can trust.

Glad you like your new trigger, great CZ accuracy getting better yet
Be careful when using Safety, though. At these low settings disengaging safety might cause firing pin to drop, and discharge w/o touching trigger!

I have a CZ 452 and they have the most God awful trigger I have ever had. For what the gun is I would use a YoDave trigger kit, that's what I did and it really helped and is very cheap compared to a Jewell.

I have a John L trigger on my CZ 452 and it breaks like glass at 2 oz. This trigger is equal to a Jewell and that means it is great.
