Need to watch this one....do you have your reloading lic??

I was just reading an article about this on the Gun Week site and it looks like we will have to have a license from "a government agency or state" to reload. This is not looking good at all. That treaty has been around for a while but we have never ratified it. If the senate ratifys it, I guess we all become criminals.

"Where are we going and why am I in this basket?"

Obambi said that he wouldn't take our guns, he didn't say anything about not taking the ammunition so he can't be accused of lying. Bill The Bomber Ayers is a great guy, but honest people who shoot and reload are incipient criminals. Anyone who believes that is dumber than a small box of pea gravel.

Nipper,
The information that I posted above came from my Gun Digest Email Newsletter( I said Gun Week in the above post, my bad). Although I did receive it on the internet, I do give it a little more credence that just picking something off the internet chat rooms or blogs, etc. !

I have not heard anything about a treaty till today. Copy/paste form another site:

Statement By NRA Executive Vice President Wayne LaPierre and NRA Chief Lobbyist Chris Cox Regarding the Organization of American States Treaty on Firearms Trafficking

Thursday, April 16, 2009

The NRA is well aware of the proposed Organization of American States treaty on firearms trafficking, known by its Spanish initials as CIFTA. The NRA monitored the development of this treaty from its earliest days, but contrary to news reports today, the NRA did not "participate" at the meeting where the treaty was approved.

The treaty does include language suggesting that it is not intended to restrict "lawful ownership and use" of firearms . Despite those words, the NRA knows that anti-gun advocates will still try to use this treaty to attack gun ownership in the U.S. Therefore, the NRA will continue to vigorously oppose any international effort to restrict the constitutional rights of law-abiding American gun owners.

send the NRA some cash

I just did.

We spend 10's of thousands on scopes, guns, ammo, gear. We need the NRA more then ever today - contribute a small fraction of what you spend to shoot to defend your ability to do so.

Send Obama a "message." Go buy something that requires a NICS.

NRA and American Rifleman this mo. has an article about the Mexican Drug Wars and its being an excuse for the Obama crew to institute an AWB.

Here's something you can do: Sign up a new NRA Member. 4 million NRA members, 80 million US gun owners. That's 5% of the armed electorate doing the "heavy lifting."

Annual membership is the price of a box of ammo.

Guns and ammo sales are up 49% nationally. That's sending a message. Obama knows "gun control" has become the political "third rail" but he still has all his ducks in a row . . . Holder, Emanuel, Pelosi, Biden, Feinstein, Schumer, Kennedy, Franks . . .

Go sign up an NRA Member. Buy a membership as a gift for someone.

I'm not entirely nutz about the NRA, but they're the biggest gun lobby in the USA, and Washington listens when the NRA makes a policy statement.
