I have a 54 Match that sometimes when closing the bolt it will drop the firing pin This is my sons position rifle so this is definatly not going to work. 1 Screw on the bottom is all that I see any help welcome. Thanks
Those are 3 lever triggers. You will have to remove action assembly from stock to get at the other adjustments. On pilkingtons web sight, under target talk forms I think, there is a area listed which shows and tells what each adjustment screw is for.
If its factory and you only see one screw on the bottom its an older trigger. Look on the side of the stock at the bolt handle. There should be a hole in the stock. Insert a small screw driver here. This is the sear bite adjust screw.
If you want to remove stock its easier and you can wash the trigger out as well. If you remove the trigger to clean it be sure bolt is removed or you can break the sear on installation.
It may just need a good cleaning.
mine, it looks like an early(as opposed to NOW)Model 70 w/an extra adjustment for sear engagement, which is easily increased, if need be. Check the crud build-up, then see if it could use more bite. HTH,T
