need lube help

I need help finding the best way to get ''very consistent'' lube on my cases.
I'm using a Full Length Redding Die w/ a Neck Bushing(6.5 x 284) and the Hornady One Shot lube.
Some cases size smooth and easy, others make a little noise and take too much effort on the loader handle. I'm spaying/lubing only the lower part of the case, I am being careful not to lube the shoulder of the case. I was told that lubing the shoulder is a NO NO. I then spray some lube on a Q Tip and use that to lube the outside of the neck.
I'd greatly appreciate some input.
Thank you!

Rub a little lube in the palm of your hand

Do it sparingly!

Then take about three cases in that hand and roll 'em in the lube with the fingertips of the other hand. Works fine, lasts a long time!

I like RCBS Case Lube II. It is a clear water soluable lube. I put a drop on my finger tip and apply a very thin coat by hand to each case. A wet rag will take it off. The waxes are popular too, but this stuff comes off with the least effort and residue. I like totally lube free ammo and chambers.

inside the neck?

What do you do with the inside of the neck?

Inside necks

I use graphite on a bore brush. Dislodges carbon and leaves a little graphite. I dip the brush, shake if off in the container, and do about 5 cases before redipping the brush. Was taught this long before reloading grad school(benchrest), and find it a habit I can't break.

If you apply the One Shot correctly it works like magic it is just that many do not have the knowledge to apply it correctly.

First stand your cases up in a row (elevated waist high makes it easier) where you can access all sides. I like mine up in rows about 2 inches apart with individual cases about an inch apart. Then spraying at an angle from above equally apply a light coat just like you are painting a car using even strokes to all four sides and let dry for about 15 minutes. This will get a very small amount into the neck that will help the sizing operation as well. May take a little practice but when done properly every piece of brass feels the same when the ram is brought up and the case is sized in the die. I have measured sized cases for uniformity and it works fantastic.

I use either Imperial Die Wax, or STOS by Ponsness Warren.
: Actually, for mass loading I prefer to use the STOS on a lube pad. It wipes cleanly easily and efforlessly. Lay a shop rag on your palm, put 5 to 20 sized cases (depending on size of case and hand) on your hand, flip the other side of the cloth over on top of the cases and rub them back and forth a few time - they're wiped clean and it took only seconds. STOS sizes effortlessly and wipes off the easiest of all lubes - it's GERRRAAAAAAT! as Tony would say. It's also good for drawing bullets to smaller diameters in home made dies, ie: .375's down to .366" or thereabouts for a 9.3.

Just plain ole vasoline works just great. Just a dab will do you. Just rub it on the case like die wax, don't need a lot.

I don't lube the inside of the neck.
I removed the expander ball on the decapping pin.
