Need help with screw pitch and diameter

I have a 6 PPC reamer stop. It is 1.500 " in length and 0.851" in OD diameter. I do not wish to turn down the diameter as it is not very thick. I want to make a threaded collar that goes onto the OD so I can turn it into a adjustable reamer stop. What ID for the collar would you recommend and what thread pitch? I would like to mark it for increments of .001" collar travel. Any help would be appreciated. Tim

If your stop was .875 instead of .850. .875 x 40 is a standard thread size(you can buy a tap that size). 40 pitch threads are micrometer threads .025 per revolution. You will have to cut threads on the stop and then cut matching threads on the adjustment collar and lock. And then there is all the engraving to do. Here is tuner I made with those threads.View attachment 12698
