I have recently acquired a Winchester High Wall in K22 Zipper, I want to shoot it and don't want to re-barrel it to another caliber.
I also picked up a Winchester High Wall in 219 Zipper Improved built by W J Hauck from Arlington, VT, I've been told the cases used for this was a 30-30 Winchester or the 25-35 Winchester
New here to the forum, any help will be appreciated.

Thanks

The K was probably a chambering modified by Lysle Kilbourn. He created a family of K's that had less body taper, a shorter neck and a steeper shoulder than itheir parent. This info is from a Dave Wolf publication Wildcat Cartridges. This book doesn't show that specific chambering.

Kilbourn Improved Zipper

The 22 K-Zipper was fire-formed from factory 219 Zipper cases. It has a 25 degree shoulder with an overall length of 1.90 inches. The neck is 0.23 inches long. 219 Zipper cases are hard to come by but you can form them from 30-30 cases.

Dang. Make cases from a 30-30 then make them again. Wonder what those old timers were gaining or did they even know?

Dusty Stevens,

You are overlooking a basic fact. Back in the day, 219 Zipper factory loads and brass were readily available. They simply fired 219 Zipper rounds in the improved chamber to fireform the wildcat cases. They did not start with 30-30 cases. Today, we can repeat the original procedure if we can find 219 Zipper brass or loaded rounds but these are hard to find, thus the need to start with 30-30 brass.

I've formed .22 Marciante Blue Streaks (similar to an improved Zipper) using everything from 25-35 to 7 x 30 Waters to the readily available 30-30. The process is simple and case life is excellent. Good luck.
