How about it everyone, can you recommend a new smith to me? Why do you like him, and what is his contact info. Thanks in advance.

Of all the shooters here, I only get 2 recommendations? I was hoping for a few more options.

There are many good smiths, and some just don't care to parade their names around on the net, nor do their customers.

If you spend some time searching on this forum, you will get a feel of who's who.

You can also look at the equipment lists of all the major groups and also see what's being built by who.

But standing there and saying you were expecting more options (us feeding you info) isn't gonna get you far.

Take 5 minutes and do a bit of research.

Sorry, but I've done quite a bit of research, and most of the guys who are on the equipment list don't have contact info behind there name. I don't know any of these guys phone numbers, or where they live so it's difficult to find them. Hence the reason I asked. I know who are considered to be the good smiths, but no idea how to contact them. Sorry I bothered you guys:(

Brian Voelker is another good smith 563-932-2570

Also Mark Penrod is well noted for his benchrest work, but I don't have a #. if you search on here I'm sure it's listed.
 
Todd Taylor

Todd is a Ohio River Tug Boat Machinest.He is a Master at his trade long befoe he became a shooter then a smith.
Last year Darin Roush won at the Ban with a Team Taylor Rifle.
He in SE Ohio we call him "little bill".
He is very good.
I also guess kinda "new to the shooting world".
