Necking Down?

I am going to neck down 6.5x47 Lapua to a 6mm.

Is it best to do this in two steps?

I would use a 6 BR bushing die with a .257 bushing as the first step then use the Forster full length 6x47 Lapua sizing die to complete the process, then trim.

I have been successful just necking them down in one step with the Forster die.

OK......if you're REALLY into this stuff, if you REALLY want good straight cases..... here's a link to an older thread on the subject.

And this is a "later" thread LOL!!!

None of y'all are as fervid as I'm about this crap so just fast forward to page three to see pix of how to neck cases down straight. Dead straight.

Or, you'll probably be made happy by just necking down in one step, which absolutely does work. Crookedy, but it works....

I'ma' just say it now......all you'se haters who are waiting in the wings to tell me this is overkill,

"Go Soak Yer Collective Heads!"

LOL
