Neck turning for dummies

I'm sorta new to this neck turning thang and sometimes try to analyze things TOO much.
I'm prepping some NEW 222 Revenge brass, which is a standard 222 with the shoulder blown forward and out.
If I turn the necks all the way up to the shoulder, want that make part of the shoulder thinner than the rest of the shoulder, or will it make any difference?
Thanks,

Shoulderr. That will slow the "flow" and it will also probably eliminate any donuts in the future.

I think it would be possible to turn too far into the shoulder depending on how much forward the shoulder is blown. It would be best to make sure everything is set correctly before turning several pieces.

I've got a 22BR with .248 neck, so I necked down some 6BR brass, necked turned, and had to toss several pieces because I had turned too far into the shoulder - which created a very weak spot at the neck/shoulder.

Don't think analyzing too much is a bad thing when it comes to loading and reloading.

I have turned .222 Revenge brass. The revenge has very sharp shoulder but , like any neck turning and as (Tony Says) you need to turn far enough to prevent do-nut. I turn necks up to shoulder just far enough , I can see it has started up on shoulder., about 1/64". I've never had any problem @ juntion of neck and shoulder.
