neck length and when to trim

I have a 6BR with a max. case chamber length of 1.557. As of now, I am trimming to 1.555. 2 quick questions:

1. What would be the best trim length? (assuming there is one)
2. At what point in the reloading process do I trim? (after resizing or before)

Any help appreciated.

Always trim after resizeing, cases grow mostly from being reduced in diameter.
The general rule of thumb is trim to 0.010" below max but, as long as the case neck isn`t being pinched by the lead you are short enough. Custom chambers allow for cutom brass.........
