So I bought a used custom built 260 Remington, the person I bought it from knows nothing about the rifle. I considered having it re- barrelled to a 6 br, but have never owned a 260 I thought I would at least give it a try. It has a bat action and the barrel is unknown. I bought new Lapua brass and some berger 130 vld to try in it. The brass out of the box measured 0.29 on the necks. I loaded 1 round a shot it to get some measurements of a formed case. The neck after being shot still measured.0.29 but a bullet will slide into the case. Not sure how this is, my question is this acceptable or should the necks be turned. The loaded round seems to chamber fine, just never seen this before.
