Neck Clearance

I am currently using .002 of clearance on my 30BR. I would like to try reducing it to .001 to take advantage of the spring-back of the brass to eliminate using a sizing die. Does this work, or create more problems than it solves?

I find it creates more problems than it solves. Instead of going to .001 try going to .003 total. This is where I have gone with my .30BR's and I seem to have settled some brass issues that had bugged me. Thanks to Al Nyhus for that suggestion.

I agree, the 30's seem to like a little more neck clearence. Steve

Don't do it. I used to try that on 6ppc and it just wasn't worth the trouble.
