I stubled across a neat little trick i would like to share. Maybe some of you fellas already know this but i sure didnt until i tried it. Ok, I had my FL size die set up for a different barrel other than the barrel i thought i had it set up for. When i sized my first piece of brass and measured i had pushed the shoulders back .004 to much. I thought oh crap! I only have 20 pieces of brass for this barrel currently and i needed all 20 for the shoot i am attending in the am. So, I needed all my brass to be properly sized. So i thought to myself how can i fix this without having to drive all the way out to the farm tonight? So i thought about it a bit and deceided i would try to pop a primer off in the case just to see if it had enough umpff to push the shoulders back out to chamber size. Well to make a long and boring story short, It did have enough umpff to push the shoulders forward, thus allowing me to re size the case properly. This might not seem like much, but i found it very helpful. I am really picky about all i do and i needed all these cases to be the same before i left the house in the AM. I live in town so i cant just open the back door and shoot the darn thing. I did warn all the members in my family that they were about to hear a small pop and not to be alarmed. My wife grumbled a little but she is a pretty good gal and was ok with it. The cat However wasnt. I think that silly ass cat hit the floor Joice when the primer went off. it was funny to say the least. So if you ever push your shoulders back to far on a case, just blow it back out with the primer. it works quite well. I even checked a second just to be sure. It worked! Lee
