NBRSA magazine

How do you get in touch with the Precision Rifleman magazine? I need the phone number or email address.

I have only shot a little in local matches the last couple of years and let my NBRSA membership expire. I'd like to see a copy of the magazine now that PS is gone.

Thanks in advance.

Dick Wright

Thank you...

I will contact Audrey Brown.

Tom, If no one goes to a match and writes it up and submits same to Brennan, all you get is what he can pick out of the match results. Dave's had problems for years getting even the match results from match directors.

Thanks again,

Dick Wright

Wouldn't this be an opportune time to reunite the IBS and NBRSA and take the effort Dick Grosbier does for the IBS web site and the effort Wilbur and Elmer Harris do for the NBRSA and make benchrest data all Internet based?

So some don't want to use a computer. I'll bet they watch TV and the Internet is mostly TV with a keyboard, so if they don't want to use the keyboard, don't use it! Simply pull up the picture (match reports, schedules and such) and just read!!!

Don't tell me that someone who can spend $10,000/year on bullets and barrels can't afford a $400 computer and $19/month for an Internet connection.

(Sorry Dr. M., but I have rethought the situation)

I don't think it has much to do with being able to afford a computer. A number of people mostly of the older generation (of which I am part) simply have never used a computer and have no desire to start at this point. They won't have one in their home. IBS has no solid data on how many people this is not sure about NBRSA. I am guessing somewhere less than 10% but people I have talked to think it is as high as 30%. Additionally I can name three well known shooters right off the top of my head who have wives that use computers a fair amount but they simply have no desire to do it, they have their wives email me when they want something.

Dick, I probably can name the same three. Using a computer on the World Wide Web is no biggie anyway. With the upcoming Windows 8 and the new Apple iOS using a computer is much simpler that setting a digital watch for daylight savings time.

Hellsbells, I've been a Internet user even before Algore invented it. I did FTP, SMTP, Archie, Jughead and all that Unix-TCP/IP stuff in the early 1970's.

My daughter works for Apple Computer Inc as an application consultant. One of her best customers is an 83 year old retired Air Force General.

I'm mid '70's myself and I have a friend who is 88 and she wants a color laser printer for Christmas. Age is no excuse.

As to some people not having a computer in their homes, some of them believe that the moon shot was fake and wrestling is real!!

I'm with you Jerry.
It's strange how we embrace some advances and shun others.

Yep, like the gasoline powered hay mower I saw a few years ago when we were in Ohio for the Super Shoot that was being pulled with a team of 4 horses. Never did figure that one out.

Can you afford the coffee?
I can just see you with your little pinkie stuck out as you sip on Latte or some of those other $5.00 creations, George. NOT

Can you get in and out of Starbucks for $5.00 ?
I wouldn't know as I have never set foot in the place, but I hear they are very expensive.

Dick

Most public libraries have computers with internet access setup for people to use.
Heck, they would even take you to the web page if you asked them.
But there are all types out there. Some can't and others just won’t.
