NBRSA Arkansas State Champinships Lv-Hv 8/18-8/19-2012 results from my notes.
To show our support for the Sport,A few of us Texans took a scenic drive up to Pencil Bluff Arkansas this past weekend to participate in the second leg of the Arkansas State Four gun Championship competition.
We were greeted Saturday Morning with heavy rain that turned to a slow drizzle by the time the match kicked off. It was the Lv 100(Morning and HV 100 (Afternoon). The Clouds moved out by mid afternoon. Conditions were light but you had to pay close attention to wind flags. Joe Hargadine jumped out in front of the pack early and everybody was playing catch up the whole weekend.
It was the HV 200(Morning) and LV 200 (Afternoon) on Sunday. Mild conditions with just enough surprises to cause some more curse words. Joe Hargadine managed to hold on to his early lead and win the two Gun.
Thanks to Match Director John Henry and Family for making it all happen. John's wife, Remy, is a great cook. The food alone is worth the trip. What makes this sport so great,in my opinion,is reconnecting with friends and making new acquaintances. I will post some photos later.
