A year and one month ago I sent my Weaver k-6 to Ironsight Inc. for a rebuild. It was in my mailbox today and I have to say I'm impressed. It's clear as a glass of springwater to look thru and it tracks just fine on a box test I did using my 22-250 heavy barrel Ruger. I know the scope's a relic but so am I. It's served me well thru some hard use over the years and now will likely outlive me.
I was aware from the start it would be a long wait to get the scope serviced but it was well worth it. My hat's off to the folks at Ironsight!

Hi Mike. Getting older scopes repaired sure isnt like sending a faulty Leupold in. I have had great service from Leupold and scopes returned in one month. I was not so much in need of the old Weaver so the waiting period was ok. I guess my reason for the rebuild was as much sentimental as anything. I had them install Mil Dot reticle and it is really nice too, the dots are small and unobtrusive. they dont cover small targets at longer ranges. Last I heard about Ironsight's lead time, it's right around a year.

I have an old Denver Redfield 2-7X in there due to clouding in the lens cement. Not really worth a rebuild but that scope has been bullet proof in holding POI and in adjustment and I've had it a LONG time. So, I guess it deserves it. At least its robust enough to be fixed. --Greg
