My avatar. How do I fix it?

Because I have sold my business and am in the process of retiring, I decided to update my profile on this site. I wanted to add a discrete avatar and what I wound up with is huge and kind of gaudy. Because of my reserve and discrete nature, this bothers me. What have I done wrong and how do I fix it?

If I cannot get the help that I need, I will have to leave it like it is.:)

Your photo is 230x230 pixels. You need to pick the photo and edit it to the size you want before you submit it.

I thought it had been years since anyone could add or modify an avatar. My avatar was entered in 2003 when we changed from the old format. For a while, almost everyone had avatars, Wilbur must have disabled the option. I'm familiar with this sites software from other sites using the same, avatar is usually an option through "User CP", but not here.

BTW: Though it may now be what you want, I don't think your avatar is "huge and gaudy".

Thanks guys,

I got it from 230 x 230 to 130 x 130, I think.

It looks better to me now.

Thanks for the help guys.

Concho,

If we can no longer have avatars how did you change yours?

I hadn't heard that, Smitty! I just clicked on my name, went to my profile, clicked on "edit profile", and followed instructions.:)

If I have broken any rules, I will fix what I have done and apologize to Wilbur.

Kent,

That is one of my lucky hats. It is worth three points and two Xs on a 50/50 target.

If you're Texan enough you can wear any hat that fits.

The truth is my black Stetson makes me look short.

Bill,
I know what you mean about lucky hats. I have one too. Mine is a sorrel colored Stetson and my Dad gave to me, it was one of his years ago. Its' my lucky deer hunting hat, but I'm too lazy, old, and beat up to deer hunt any more. Wouldn't take anything for it though, because my Dad gave it to me years back.

Hat

Guys,
That hat is the "urban" look. You wouldn't think Bill was 80 years old when he is wearing that hat. :D

Best,
Dan Batko

"Where are we going and why am I in this basket?"

Now boys, Dan is my friend. If a friend will say things like that about my hat, you don't want to know what my enemies say about that hat.

Dan says that he and the centerfire bunch are going to paint our new benches purple for luck next Saturday.
