men,,,i have gone to buffloe arms to find a muzzle rest,and they are out..i am gona try to use it on my barrel,and just see if it's accurate.... is there anyone or any place i can try to perchase one.? thanks,,, jake...

I am puzzled... I always thought a muzzle rest was for a shotgun.

Right off the internet...
A muzzle rest lets you rest your gun weigh on the cement. More comfortable than a gun barrel on your foot. Not visible when sighting. Secure by non-damaging two sided tape. Fits 12 gauge and available in two lengths. Specify for regular or long chokes.

How are you planning on using it on your Benchrest rifle?

It is interesting to see how the public views precision rifle shooting, even Benchrest, you would think the names would give them a clue:D . Apparently they supply old west type guns and stuff.

thanks for nothin but redicule,,never be back to this place

I think that you asked the question in the wrong place. The centerfire BR forum is for short range smokeless powder benchrest. I think you'd be better off and get better information on a blackpowder BR forum. Sort of like asking how to make your flathead Harley faster on a Superbike forum.:D

Jacob;;
No one is trying to ridicule you or put you down. You have asked about something that is not used in Benchrest and they simply didn't know what it is. The answer from Dennis is correct as a muzzle rest is often used on a Trap gun. Don't give up on us. Explain what it is you are looking for and maybe someone can direct you.

Jacob,

No need to be so precious.

You have asked enough questions here over a long enough time frame to have figured out what this site is all about and what the different sections represent.

It seems you want information about something that is clearly nothing to do with centrefire benchrest (as represented by this site) and then you get all grumpy when you are told that it isn't anything to do with what this site is about.

Why not google up a forum the deals with the type of shooting that you are doing ?

I can't see the Pope muzzle rest catching on in benchrest ! But then it could add a whole new meaning to muzzle tuners !!!
